Bless is one of the best level 1 spells in the game. You should use most of your spells slots for this. It's especially useful to cast it on ally that is or will be concentrating on an important spell.
Healing Word should only be used when your ally is down. Cure Wounds should only be used when your ally is down, or well under half health and the extra health will allow them to survive another hit without going down. Don't use healing spells to top people up. Use healing spells to keep people from dying or getting dropped.
Inflict Wounds is a useful spell to prepare when you really need a lot of damage and you're able to get up into melee range. This spell becomes much better at level 3 when Hold Person becomes available to every full spell caster in the game. If somebody else in your party paralyzes the target, you'll want to run up to it and hit it with an Inflict Wounds spell. Or you could paralyze the target yourself, and if its still paralyzed on your next turn, run up to it and hit it with a brutal 6D10 of damage.
Other than that, I would load up on some Ritual Spells to fill out the rest of your spells prepared.
A tempest cleric at levels 1-3 is one of the most damage dealing class out there. I only carried Healing word and Prayer of healing for HP recovery at level 3.....otherwise you are crushing it with Wrath of the Storm and Destructive wrath means you should be up front hammering things. You are better at making things dead which saves HP in the long run better. Just make sure you party knows it.
At 2nd level shooting a thunderwave for 16 damage AOE will likely make one encounter trivial. After that you can save a slot for healing word.
My cleric of Thor let's everyone know that healing is for the weak and soft and he only slaps them some when it's time to get back into the fight via healing word.
BTW - I'm always confused by the domain spell choice at some times. Why Insect Plague? Doesn't fit thematically to me.
I like the Initiate feat at 4th level to add some versatility. People seem to forget feats in practice. Its nice to have Eldritch Blast in your back pocket.

I don't think anyone forgets feats in practice, especially Clerics. War caster is a much better feat than Magic Initiate.
I dont forget feats, I generally feel they do not provide as much value as a stat increase until my primary stat is maxxed.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
