I play a blind fighter and was wondering how the 7th level Echo Knight ability works in this case. The echo does not see or hear anything normally, unless you're using its eyes and ears through this ability. My character lost her vision on an accident, can she see through the echo's eyes with that?
Edit: if yes, is that vision actually from ""physical"" eyes or just from the echo's position? Cause my character literally doesn't have her eyes anymore, idk if that would impact on the echo's vision
And another simple question, in the echo's description it says it has an AC of 14 + proficiency bonus, I'm guessing that implies it doensn't benefit from using a shield?
The echo is a bit weird mechanically; it says nothing about its senses because the echo never actually uses any. When you choose to attack from its space it is still "you" resolving the attack, rather than the echo having attacks in its own right. So if you're blind, then your attacks through the echo are blind.
However, echoes are "shades of unrealized timelines" so one way of thinking of them is as alternate versions of yourself that could have existed, but no longer will due to choices that you have made. This means it would be heavily up to your DM whether echoes might include versions of yourself that this accident never happened to. That said, it also describes them as "fading", meaning the echoes must cease to exist past a certain point, so if the accident wasn't recent, you may no longer be able to summon any echoes that did not also lose their sight.
It definitely feels like a "discuss with your DM" ruling, as playing as a blind character isn't really supported in the rules as such, so I assume you're using some kind of home-brew rules already to help make it work?
And another simple question, in the echo's description it says it has an AC of 14 + proficiency bonus, I'm guessing that implies it doensn't benefit from using a shield?
I believe that's correct; the echo is never described as being a creature or carrying its own equipment, it functions more like an object/illusion you can place and then move that grants you various bonuses. If you have a shield then the echo will look like it has a shield, but its AC will still be the same.
I think it's also fair to assume that because it's merely an "echo" then it's not really a second you; it's a ghostly manifestation of someone that might have been. Thematically I'd say it may only be distantly aware of what's happening, it might move in a jittery, imperfect way etc., so lacks the ability to defend itself as you might.

I’ll second haravikk and say ask your DM. I assume you’ll take the blingfighting style, but I don’t know what you’ll do beyond 10’.
I guess you can manifest the echo within 10’ of you (since it has to be in a place you can see) but I’m not sure how you move it beyond that, since you won’t know what’s there.
And if you make an attack from the echo’s square, and the target is more than 10’ from you — not the echo — then that attack would be at disadvantage because you can’t see it, as it’s outside of your blindfighting range. At least that’s how I’d rule it.
As far as seeing through it, I’d rule no, you don’t see. You can hear, but not see. The echo doesn’t give you any senses you don’t already have.
