So I rolled really well making my Mountain Dwarf Fighter and started with 19 Str 14 Dex20 Con 12 Int 9 Wis and 9 Cha with the racial boosts.
At 4 I took heavy armor master and got 20 str.
At 6 I took Sentinel.
Now I'm about to hit eight and need to pick another feat, I don't care about raising my Dex or other stats any further, I'm just looking for suggestions for what five additional feats to take. I'm leaning towards shield master at 8 but am looking for which seven would go best together. He is a champion subclass by the way, uses battle axe and shield and took the defense fighting style. Thanks in advance for any suggeations.
I'd strongly consider Resilient(Wisdom). It would raise your Wisdom save mod from -1 to +3 at Level 8, and up to +4 at Level 9. Failing a Dex save usually just means more damage, and if you can take Shield Master at Level 12 to help with that. But I would shore up those mental defenses first, to avoid a lot of control spells/effects.
I agree that resilient (wisdom) is a great pick! For other feats, how do you like to play? Defensively? Sword and board? Or do you want more in/out of combat versatility?
I'm the tank and sword and board, my character is very brash and bold always challenging opponents head on because he had natural strength advantages his whole life so he is arrogant and thinks his strength will get him through anything. He taunts during battle and tries to get in close with every opponent so he can lock them down. When my group surprised Glassstaff in LMoP he just grappled him and dropped to the ground so everyone just stood around him and pounded on him with advantage. We fought Venomfang by Donag walking in the front door and challenging the young dragon by himself, taking the poison breath and distracting the dragon while our druid and monk and ranger climbed to the top of the tower. The druid jumped off the tower and transformed into a brown bear to crash onto the dragons back, keeping him on the ground while the cleric came in and flanked the dragon with me. Then the monk dropped down and stunned the dragon with ki, the ranger shooting from above, the bear and monk on it's back, Donag in his face and the cleric to the side. It tried to fly off but Donag drank a flying potion and flew up and crit the dragon for the kill, this was at lvl 3. Same kinda tactic with the orcs and ogre in the cave. If this gives you an idea with how he plays.
All the suggestions everyone's given so far seem pretty solid to me. In addition to pushing the resilient feat, I would recommend great weapon master. Even if you don't add the additional damage, you still get to use your bonus action to make another melee attack when you crit or kill a creature, regardless of the melee weapon you use. Tough would also give you an almost ungodly amount of hp...with your maxed CON that's 13 HP per level. Even when you get hit by spells, you'll have the HP to take it

I hadn't even thought of that, thank you, I think this is definitely what I will do.
Mage slayer is a solid pick. Your "heavy armour" is not a deterrent for many spells.
savage attacker and tough are straight up warrior feats you could go with
martial adept if you like some tactical flavor
lucky is always viable
Jesus Saves!... Everyone else takes damage.
