Hey ya'll! Been playing AL at local game stores (or more recently, online). I'm very new to being a D&D player, but I DM a home game for a group a friends. Last night while playing AL someone noticed something wrong with my character sheet.
I've chosen to give my character Defensive fighting, but for some reason his bonus action shows that he has Two Weapon fighting... I was told it's not supposed to be there. I chose a Variant Human, and he just leveled up to 3 so he's an Eldritch Knight now. His sheet is here. https://ddb.ac/characters/23739619/112Zdb
Anyone know why I have this? Is it supposed to be there, is it not?? I'm confused about how this happened haha. Thanks for your help!!
OH awesome! Thanks so much for clarifying, there's so much to keep track of and I'm trying to get a sense as to why things are on my sheet so I can build better characters in the future. Totally missed out on a good opportunity to use it in last game but all is well, now I can justify having it if this comes up again.
The first is the bonus action Stormknight mentions, the other is a fighting style which lets you use your ability modifier for damage when using the two-weapon fighting bonus action.
So since you took Defense for your fighting style, you can't get the Two-Weapon Fighting fighting style whichever of which would show up on the Features & traits tab, but everyone get's the bonus action listed under the Actions tab since anyone can use that bonus action provided they meet the weapon requirements.

Yep. And to clarify, the TWF fighting style simply allows you to add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus-action attack granted by the Two-Weapon Fighting rule (which any character can benefit from), if the attack hits.
Without that fighting style, the ability score modifier (Str or Dex) is not included in the damage of the bonus-action attack from the Two-Weapon Fighting rule.

You were told wrong!
Two-Weapon Fighting is a bonus action that all characters can take, if they have two weapons.

There's 2 things called Two-Weapon Fighting.
The first is the bonus action Stormknight mentions, the other is a fighting style which lets you use your ability modifier for damage when using the two-weapon fighting bonus action.
