I've been playing with this idea for an upcoming game.
The basic idea is to take Xbow mastery AND the repeating infusion. It sounds redundant but what it does is let you carry a hand Xbow, and whatever else in the off-hand with complete flexibility, which I think would come in handy with Echo Knight shenanigans. It gives 3 attacks per turn with a hand XBow, which gets nova-like with Sharpshooter. It's also single-attribute-dependent, so it would be easy to change roles to using a greatsword or polearm or whatever. Or, hell, a staff of the Magi. And the AC is good to great.
What appeals to me isn't the raw output, but that it allows a lot of different play styles depending on situation or mood. Whaddya think?

Update, if anyone cares - The MC works much better with a heavy-weapons focus. I'll know how good it is in play in five months or so ;)
Any update on how your Echo Knight/Battle Smith is going? How is it working in play, and what build did you go with?
