I’m pretty sure Grung isn’t AL legal (or it wasn’t when it first came out), but if it’s allowed in your group it’s kind of busted with Monk, especially with some Way of Mercy involved.
DC 12 Con is incredibly easy to make on monsters, but with 3-4 attacks per turn it’s eventually going to stick on almost everything.
That last part though! Our party shared the grung add on for me. Starting out lv 6 and I have the grappler feat with way of the open palm using a punching dagger for my monk weapon. Just finished our 1st combat sesh and I was a killing machine. It also helps I rolled fairly well for stats but still, I killed 7 of our 13 enemies almost all by myself while only taking 12 damage. Its super fun so far.

Has anyone considered the implications of the grung's poisonous skin trait means that every unarmed strike can poison? Monk build, anyone?

The DC is too low and the other drawbacks of the race make it not really worth while.
