OK, my Minotaur is a 3/1 monk-fighter, standing about 8+ feet tall and weighting about 400+ lbs. She happened to find a jump ring, and, using it, I can run 10 feet to jump as a bonus action up to 57 feet (strength 19). The question is, if I jump 50 feet into a target, (example leap from a rooftop into a group of baddies) how would you compute damage from me crashing into the primary target? We are using standard fall damage (1d6 per 10 feet) but is that too much?
I think tashas (or xanathars?) has rules for if you fall straight down from height onto another creature. I think its 1d6 per 10 feet fallen. The target gets a dex save ( dc 15 I think but am not certain. ) If the target saves they take zero and move out of the way. With these rules I think your monk would also take the falling damage though. What happens when your monk gets slow fall? I have no idea.
If you are doing a horizontal jump there is unfortunately no rules for additional damage based on distance jumped. Mechanically It would be the same as moving 50ft on the ground and making a melee attack. The long jumping is fun but is mostly for flavor. You would have to ask your dm and homebrew something.
To add to that, if the creature fails the Dex save you calculate damage and it is divided half and half to the creature and the PC. There was debate some time ago about how monk’s slow fall factors in. Ask your DM

I would imagine that you both take damage and the target would get a saving throw to take half damage since you launching yourself like a missile.
