I'm trying to multiclass with my Monk and I was looking into Fighter class. Are there any benefits for Monks to take the Unarmed Fighting Style other tha the 1d4 bludgeding additional damage to grappled creatures?
My other option would be getting Superiority Technique as I'll be doing 10 levels of Battle Master and could use an additional superiority die and manuever.
Which one you think it's a better choice? Also would love to hear which manuevers you think are most useful to monks. As a side note I'd like to keep my monk an unarmed fighter for the most part who uses a quarterstaff occasionally.

Menacing attack, push, riposte, trip, sweeping. Any combination in my opinion would work well.
I know you said BM as sub, but my favorite is champion. More crit hits, and heroic inspiration at will. 1-2 combo of kung pow
Interesting! I'll look into that. What do you mean about heroic inspo? Can't see anything around that
It’s in the 2024 PHB rules glossary
Heroic Inspiration
If you (a player character) have Heroic Inspiration, you can expend it to reroll any die immediately after rolling it, and you must use the new roll.
If you gain Heroic Inspiration but already have it, it’s lost unless you give it to a player character who lacks it.
So you can use it on any roll. And the Champion’s 10th level feature:
Level 10: Heroic Warrior
The thrill of battle drives you toward victory. During combat, you can give yourself Heroic Inspirationwhenever you start your turn without it.
During combat you can use it on any roll. If you have HI before combat starts you can actually use it to reroll your initiative if you rolled bad. Then when you start your turn you can give yourself one and use it on attack or damage rolls or saving throws or ability checks etc. Out of combat you can use it on rolling hit points, etc. you just wouldn’t be able to give yourself one until a combat starts.
Of course this will all depend on when you would reach level 10 in fighter. So you may not get it until really late. Battle Master you get your maneuvers at 3rd so you will get more use out of them early on.
I was assuming was starting to dip in fighter earlier say after 3 lvl monk, so my calculation was 13th lvl 3/10. Then continue with monk after that. But yeah if you going monk lvl than fight, BM would be the go to, just a different path to get to the same place. Gotta love the flexibility

The unarmed fighting style won’t do much for you, like you said, so if you are going BM Fighter then Superior Technique would have more benefits

Ah! I should've mentioned I'm using 2014 rules at the moment! But good to know for when I'll use the 2024 :)
