The new QP has me confused, because of the word "alternatively".
Is it saying that after spending 4 FP's and I hit, I can walk away and decide later to end them by my force of will. No other attacks required?
The alternatively part says I can end it by simply forgoing one of my multiple attacks. What's the point of that, if I can will it to end in the above question?
Also, can you also spend additional FP for FoP's in this combat, thus 5 FP's?
What that is telling you is that there are two ways to end the effect:
Use an entire action to end them.
Take the Attack action, and sacrifice one of the attacks from it to end them.
This is a change from the 2014 version, where only #1 was allowed. With the 2024 version, you don't need to sacrifice your entire action to trigger the effect if you don't want to. If you want to do it and make another attack in the same action, you can.
None of this has any impact on Flurry of Blows; there's no reason you couldn't use that on the same turn.
