I want to make a Oath of the Watcher Paladin. I have a backstory idea that my PC was in some sort of extraplanar incident or monster attack as a child, but was saved by Watchers. They realize my PC has been effected by whatever happened, so they get taken in to be trained and use their "gift" for the safety of the mortal realm. I was wondering which feat seemed the most interesting to take for story reasons and mechanically, or if there was a feat I missed that I could be applied to this concept and if so what happened to give this character the power.
If you want to suggest another feat, I am not looking for a min/max feat like GWF or Sentinel, just ones that would work with the background concept and be interesting.
Thematically speaking, telekinetic might be your best bet. It reminds me of the movie Akira, where after Tetsuo comes into contact with the one of the special children he unlocked psychic powers, telekinesis included.
Fey touched chosen could round out an odd charisma stat, give you a teleportation option that most paladins do t have access to, and if gift of alacrity is chosen then a head start on your initiative efficacy.
charisma is incredibly potent for a paladin that reaches their aura of protection feature. The charisma stat would also make your subclasses channel divinities more potent since they seem to be more tied to charisma than other options from different subclasses.
the feat also grants a free use of each of the spells which preserves your limited half caster slots.
If you’re not worried about min maxing with too many weapon feats then two weapon fighting or polearm master with a spear could be nice to make use of your bonus action. It’s not quite as effective as the other feats, but your ability to smite another time in combat could be beneficial at times. If you find yourself actually reaching 20th level, then you could even banish more creatures per turn while your capstone is up.

Telepathic would also work.
I don’t know if it works with your theme, but I will say with fey touched, being able to bring your mount with you on a misty step can be very fun.
