Hey All, having a bit of trouble with setting up a character in D&D Beyond. This is my first time using the service so I don't know if I'm just missing something simple or not. I've got a pre existing character in a Wood Elf Rogue that I've been running for about six months, and our groups DM wants us to start using D&D Beyond to see if it'll help him keep track of our stats better.
So when i go through the process of picking my four Rogue proficiencies from "Acrobatics, Athletics, Deception, Insight, Intimidation, Investigation, Perception, Performance, Persuasion, Sleight of Hand, and Stealth", When i Built the Character i picked: Acrobatics, Stealth, Sleight of Hand, and Perception.
But the problem is that it is not giving me Perception as a choice in the drop down even though it is clearly listed as one of the choices. But Strangely it does give me the choice to pick perception in the drop down for when i choose which of my existing proficiencies to use for the "Expertise" perk.
I'm not sure if I'm missing something super simple or if there if a problem with the service itself, this is my first time trying to set up a character using D&D Beyond, and have only just started playing D&D for the first time at the beginning of the year, so any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!
Since you have an elf, your character has already the proficiency in Perception. So, it does not appear in the possible choices for skill proficiencies, but it does appear for Expertise.
I knew it had to be something super simple that i overlooked, just ripped through my PH and saw Keen Senses, and boy do i feel silly. especially since i technically picked proficiency twice when i could have chosen another, been playing like that for six months haha. Oh well, glad we got it figured out.
Thanks a bunch for your help! Much appreciated!!!
