Hey all so I am currently a lvl 5 swashbuckler and I am wondering what kind of feats should I be looking at acquiring? I am doing a single rapier for attacks so I am thinking defensive duelist but not sure what else to look at, I already am max on Dex.
Mobile would let you get the benefit of disengage, and dash in the same turn, with an extra 20 movement?
That's a good suggestion, since I am variant human, I chose at the start with my free 1st lvl feat defensive duelist. Could go with mobile at lvl 8 and then what else you thinking? We are going to lvl 20 in this campaign so not too worried about not reaching the end but have plenty of time to think as well.
AS you are already a swashbuckler Mobile is a bit redundant.
also defensive duelist will overlap with your later ability to reduce damage Uncanny Dodge. Both are reactions.
I think Sentinel is the best - it gives you possibly another attack that can use sneak attack - it's a way to get sneak attack twice a round.
Magic Initiate is also allowing you to add GFB or BB to your attack....plus another useful spell.
I thought with defensive duelist can't I choose which one to use if I know its going to not be enough to not take any damage, go with uncanny dodge if I know its going to be enough to miss, defensive duelist? I do like the idea of another try at sneak attack with sentinel

Yes, you can choose either to defensive duelist a hit into a miss, or if you know it will hit anyway then you can uncanny dodge.
Sentinel is nice, but you have to stay right up next to your target, which means they may decide to attack the squishy rogue instead of the heavily armored fighter or raging barbarian. It gets exponentially better with greater Invisibility, or something like blur or a displacer cloak to make you a harder target.
Depending on your campaign mage slayer could be a fun choice, since you don't need anyone adjacent for sneak attack as a swashbuckler that lets you dive into their back line and bully a mage, great way to get a reaction sneak attack off as well.
But for general purpose, I would take magic initiate Wizard. Pick up booming blade, find familiar, and any other cantrip you want for flavor. The familiar can use the help action on your attack (giving you advantage) and since you're using a single rapier anyway booming blade is just a pure damage upgrade for you. Make a booming blade attack with advantage, cunning action dash or hide to remove yourself from range, target either wastes a turn or takes damage on moving.

Thank you for those suggestions, I'm trying to find a way to not use magic, as I'm role playing him as an anti magic user so he wouldn't use magic, so I'm thinking Sentinel to start with and I like the mage slayer as well for the next one at lvl 8.

Nice! I dig the flavor! One feat that I think is also really flavorful and powerful for a rogue is lucky. It's good on any class, but to me it's most at home on a rogue. It really helps you feel like that everyday person with only a special set of skills ztanding between you and a world of wizards and monsters!
