A warlock wants to escape the trope of being an EB turret. They want to be a sort of nibble of the wild hunt. They want to use Sprites and Pixies as support and use a pack of blink dogs for hunting.
Adding spells to a class that don’t have them by default doesn’t really have any impact on game balance. The only warning is giving certain spells to Warlock because of the short-rest recharge of pact-slots. Conjure Woodland Beings should be fine.
So spells that could have a balance issue if they were cast more than once or twice a day would be an issue … like gate? That does make sense, so a pretty basic utility spell is t a big deal
Gate is a 9th level spell. No class can cast it more than once per long rest unless they had a Gate spell scroll, a magic item that has the spell, or that Epic Boon that gives an extra 9th level spell slot.
And a spell that might cause problems would be Animate Dead or some of the other spells that are once per long-rest invocations. But most spells should be fine if added to the Warlock spell list

What are your thoughts on bending spell lists?
