Or I have a question that one of my players and I disagree upon. It deals with the HexWarrior ability to choose a weapon and it's interaction with Pact of the blade.
Hex Warrior indicates that after a long rest you touch a weapon and designate it as the weapon you can use your Cha for Attack for Damage. But the last part says "If you later gain the Pact of the Blade feature, this benefit extends to every pact weapon you conjure with that feature, no matter the weapon’s type."
I maintain that you could use this ability to touch a weapon not designated as the Pact weapon, and then summon a pact blade as well and you would be able to use your Cha with both. I base this on the fact that "... this benefit extends to ..." portion. My player disagrees with this saying that you can only use it on one weapon at a time and the only real benefit you get from pact of the blade is that it can any weapon not just melee weapon without the two-handed property.
If ther is an official ruling on thi I would appreciate a link too. Thank you for your time.

"The Hex Warrior feature is intentionally worded to extend its benefit to two potential weapons: the weapon you touch and a pact weapon you conjure."
