I know its not really on topic and I don't mean to threadjack, but a cool idea I've heard somewhere is that there are places of power which make placing a wizard study there particularly advantageous. The problem is that they aren't always in a convenient location. Some are above the earth, which is why wizards have towers, some are below the surface, which is why some wizards have places underground.
I always thought it might be cool to extend this to schools of magic. It might explain evokers' penchant for places of great elemental power, like volcanoes.
