So I can up with a home brew healing cantrip. I call it “Altruism”. I realize that healing from something so basic a a cantrip is dangerously OP, so I have it a drawback that I believe is fair. Here is the flavor text so you all can judge and tell me if it sounds good:
”In a moment of need, you give up some of your life energies to heal an ally of your choosing. You spend a hit die, and immediately heal friendly creature within range by that hit die, plus their Constitution Score.
This spell heals for 1 additional point of damage at 5th level, 2 additional points at 11th level, and 4 points at 17th level.”
That looks pretty OP to me. I rarely burn through my hit dice, so being able to spend them without a spell slot cost on my teammates would be good. Far far too good.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
Any at-will healing is really overpowered. Even if it was just at will your wis mod. Character death would be nearly impossible being able to at-will restore people back.

What if it was just your hit die and no con addition?
