So is it just me or can you actually not Homebrew magic items? I wanted to create a sword that deals 3d6 Bludgeoning damage for my campaign and it seems as if I can't change any of the damage die or type, all I can do is add a +1 or similar modifier or add spells. It seems as if all you can do is edit base items.

EDIT: Thanks for the replys! You've given me the means to create a workaround. Hopefully they implement full homebrew creations soon.
You can change damage type and you can add bonus damage dice, but you do have to start with a base weapon and can't change its dice. In this case, if you started with a greatsword, damage type - bludgeoning, damage - bludgeoning 1d6, you should get a great sword that does 2d6+1d6 bludgeoning (bonus damage does not automatically combine with weapon damage).
Homebrewing base weapons and armor are planned, but have not been added yet.
Just adding the damage is a work around, not a solution. Those statistics are clearly categorized on some way, why would this not be the first version of the homebrew creation process. Honestly I understand and enjoy the software they are using but it seems needlessly complex. Imagine this, just the info page we see but empty boxes for typing where the stats are
Proficient: [an options box for what would give proficiency](this is where a base weapon or armor could go)
Attack Type: [an options box for attack types]
Reach: [a box for typing(type-able?) that has the arrows for changing numbers]
Damage: [two options boxes both with arrows for number of dice and their size]
Damage Type: [a type-able options box that has the normal damages but you can still type whatever if you want]
Weight: [a type-able box with arrows]
Cost: [a typable with arrows and a different type-able option box for the coin type]
Properties: [a typable options box that has the normal properties but you can still type whatever if you want to make some up]

Under "Modifiers" there are options to Change Damage Type and Change Weapon Property that will allow you to brew what you just described.

There are no options under the Modifiers tab to even set damage let alone to change it. The only options under the Modifiers tab are:
NUMBER OF CHARGES, CHARGE RESET CONDITION, CHARGE RESET DESCRIPTION, NOTES, WEIGHT, AVATAR UPLOAD OPTIONS.
No option to set or modify damage.
