I did a quick search and haven't found a specific suggestion topic regarding this though I think it would be a good idea to look into/develop. Being able to arrange your inventory by containers as well as being able to 'stow' items into storage.
Containers as Inventory Management: I think this would add a bit to the functionality of Beyond character sheets and inventory management. Essentially this would be turning bags and other containers into folders in your inventory that you can move items into. Additional and more complex functionality would be to add size and weight limits to the containers. I know this would require a bit of work but I think the payoff would be worth it from a Roleplay perspective and to help figure out encumbrance.
IE loading up your backpack for an adventure, the weight would be easy enough to manage, max load of 30 pounds inside, maybe add 3-4 'slots' for 'strapable' items like a bedroll or rope. Working out the size limits would a bit more difficult compared to weight as now items would have to be gone through and given a somewhat realistic size.
I think this would go very well with bags of holding as well, rather than just have players toss 'everything' inside and go beyond the limits of what they can hold, help to prevent a DM from asking 'how much stuff you got in that bag of holding? Oh really? Well it just ripped and you lost all your stuff." And of course whatever's inside wouldn't go towards your encumbrance weight. Of course things you actively have equipped can't be tossed into a bag. And you could also have accessory things like locks 'equipped' by the chest or whatever other container can use it.
I think Mounts and vehicles could also benefit from this system as well. IE my riding horse would be a folder/container, with all it's equipment inside/under it (Horseshoes, Barding, Saddle, Saddlebags (with them being a subfolder) ect ((With a Potential to add my own equipment/weight it it's limit to make sure I'm not overloading the poor thing)). And my Wagon with two Draft horses would have it's capacity calculated.
Stowing Items: This would be pretty much a simple checklist or button toggle. On a char sheet the items would just appear to be greyed out and their weight wouldn't be added to your encumbrance. Obviously things that are stowed wouldn't be able to be used/equipped. This could also be used to quickly store containers and their contents as well. IE with one of my characters I have a couple chests and various 'flavor' containers in my room at the Inn as well as a couple different packs that I keep as 'go bags.' ICly since I can't run around with a purse full of 5000 gold I keep it in one of the chests with a Lock of Trickery on it. I have a barrel full of looted weapons I haven't gotten around to selling yet, and a basket full of healing potions and arrows that I top off my go bag and quiver with between missions.
Charges for Healer's Kit: This is kind of an unrelated suggestion but I think it's an oversight but don't think it's worth it's own thread. Potions have charge tick boxes on them but Healer's Kits don't.

Seriously? A "Stored Gear" tab can't be created with an encumbrance value set to NULL?
