Hi, I was wondering if there were any intentions of allowing creators of homebrew items to change the basic damage of magic weapon, for example change a shortsword's damage from 1d6 Piercing to, for example, 1d8 Slashing.
I am asking this because I originally intended on creating a Longsword capable of dealing 1d10 Slashing damage one handed and 1d12 Slashing damage two handed.
This isn't possible at the moment, but it's frequently requested. We'll have to wait and see what the upcoming universal features system brings! In the meantime, you can use custom actions to display these attacks.

Fair enough, thank you for the reply. When is this universal features system supposed to arrive?
