The somewhat recent additions to the Component Pouch and Backpack are so great! It honestly adds a lot to be able to separate things that are considered "equipped" and other things that are considered stored or set aside in a different, notable container. It's such a good step in the right direction.
Unfortunately--at least in my experience doing this, and I haven't found a way to make it work--custom items can only be put into Equipment, cannot be moved to either the Backpack nor the Component Pouch. This poses a problem, especially for the Component Pouch as it's basically just a list of custom items you found lying around(or happen to be in the bag already, however you describe the pouch to be when you get it).
Not only that item in particular, but there are several custom items you don't want in your equipment, either for RP needs or just to keep track of everything you can "use" in a single setting. Some people end up being decked out with 13 magical items the DM gave them, but they can't store them, so they have to keep a mental tally of what is being held on their person, and what is being stored in their backpack or bag of holding.
Sorry if this has been brought up before! I tried looking up "Component Pouch" but I couldn't find anything.
This is a well known issue and will be expanded upon in the future. The currently inventory system is merely a base that they can build on going forward.

Good to know! Just thought I'd get my voice out there, so to speak. Type. Ah you get it.
Better to say something and be assured that it's on the checklist, than to say nothing and hear nothing about it.
