I am currently running a TOA game so I bought the book on D&DBeyond. Going through the (limited) options currently with the adventure books I was wondered what the team's current goals are for those? With something like Xanthar's, Volo's, or even the PHB and DMG the usefulness (and cost justification) is pretty evident but with the adventure books currently I feel there is quite a bit less. However, is there a goal to include things like campaign maps, handouts, etc as part of those purchases? That would be a fantastic way for me to share things with players in the middle of play but I'm not sure if that is even something the team is wanting to do with the product. As much as I don't like buying a book "twice" I would considering it in those instances, I think.
The maps and the handouts, and all the other artwork is included in the Compendium. You can save the images and share with your players in the campaign management section of DDB.
Ah, that's great news. When I created my campaign I couldn't figure out where any of that stuff was so that definitely helps. Thanks for the clarification. But one thing I was talking about was being able to "add" those things to the campaign section so the players have one spot they can see all of those things opposed to be just saving images and sharing them over discord. Right now it looks like that's still the most efficient thing to do.
That is what filcat was referring to. Currently you can save the maps and handouts to the Campaign notes section in the Campaign. Your players could view the campaign and see all the public notes, images, etc that you share.
