Some kind of offline access would be greatly appreciated.
Would be awesome to see some kind of printer friendly function for items, spells, monsters if you want to play live at your table without having your computer playing a dominating role or make player handouts.
A few things that could be useful:
Monsters:
Hyperlinks between monsters and their spells would be help a lot.
Using statblocks similar to the ones found in published 5e material would be good, so that you don't need to learn several ways to quickly read a statblock.
Search feature "Spellcaster" and "Spellcaster level" for monster stats.
Spells:
"Save favorite" function if you know that certain spells will be used in an upcoming game.
Printable spellcards - again if you don't want the computer dominating your game.
I would agree that Hyperlinks would be useful between monsters and their spells. I think any kind of link back system to those items would be nice. Could be nice to have a dice roller next to each attack as well.
"Save Spell Favorite" would be useful as well.
I like the idea of printable spell lists...but I think the whole premise of this is; to use tech within the game. I'm sure that we can all find appropriate printable spell sheets/cards w/o this having it.
I do think that the feature would be super nice...like; the ability to wireless print during a game a set of spells and their effects; just dont know if it is really in line with the tech model they are going for.
I agree some of it might not be what they're aiming for - but it would make the tool infinitely more useful for the (still major group of) people mainly playing at the table and not through online communication.
The first thing I noticed was that there wasn't a sort by school function. Being an arcane trickster at the moment I would find it a god send if that was added. I can also see it being useful for all wizards who are trying to find which spells synergize with their school of choice. Was really glad someone else has already noticed this and wanted to second it.
I'm adding to this thread as it seems to be the best place to do so.
After browsing around in both the mobile and desktop version of D&DB, I really wanted a generic search bar. I'm new to D&D 5e, in fact the last D&D I played was 2nd edition. So some of the newer mechanics and nomenclature is unclear to me. With a search bar I could've easyly find the proper reference even if i'm four levels deep in the compendium. So Search Bar.
As for the rest its fine looking. I'll continue reading trough the stuff.
Is the intended users of D&DB mostly DMs? I'm thinking of the D&D noob, as I often DM for new players. And I know it's early but will their be a translated version of the whole thing in the futur. I play with frenchies a lot.
That's just a few thought.

Sort by school function.
Items:
Mundane items listed.

I'm hoping that Phase 3's campaign management contains features that allow you to save a large deal of things in a particular grouping for reference.
