With One D&D in development and the devs looking for feedback, I'd like to bring together a few of the long awaited features under the umbrella of community creator support.
I wish there was more (any) support for home brew and third party adventures, rule books, core class mechanics, etc. There is so much fun content on places like GM Binder and from funded Kickstarter efforts, but there is no support for these creators on D&DBeyond. Some external sources (Critical Role) have been incorporated into the official WotC content, but there's a lack of support for everyday creators. It's also a missed opportunity to provide a very easy place for the D&DBeyond staff to go for ideas, when they see the popularity of this creative content being used on the platform.
For example, instead of trying to fix the ranger class from feedback on forums that may not be accessible for everyone, why not allow GM Binder integration and see whether creations like this one (https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-LRJQrEsRVdKGUFBmA3H) are standing out from the rest?
And allowing third party adventures like the "Humblewood" or "Odyssey of the Dragonlords" adventures along with their custom subclasses, races, and backgrounds, would open up possibilities for even more players to enjoy using D&DBeyond as their go-to platform.
