So I am the Dungeonmaster for my group, and one of my players has expressed interest in a home brew subclass of rogue. I am currently designing this class, but I have run into some limitations of the website. This subclass is a rogue that has been contacted by a extra dimensional being of power (similar to a warlock patron) and gifted with the power to pull from this being’s plane of existence, in my character’s case the Ethereal plane.
And my desire is to have a pool system similar to key points or sorcery points for the Monk and sorcerer classes respectively for the main ability and my desire is to have a pool system similar to key points or sorcery points for the Monk and sorcerer classes respectively for the main ability of my subclass design. This doesn’t seem to be an option currently. I’d also like the option of setting the number of points the character has based on the characters’ wisdom modifier plus proficiency bonus.
Secondly one of my class features offers several different options of which the character gets to chose 2 at 3rd level from and unlock more as they level up. Currently it seems like I can only choose one. Resolved Thanks TFyre01
Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.
I dont know how to the ki points or sorc points besides rewriting the same ability every level. (there is like a scaling option if I remember correctly.)
As for the second part, you should, when you create a feature, have the ability to give it "options" When you do so, it will ask when you have them available, so for example, in that spot, you can type in "3,3,7,7,11,11" and you'd pick 2 at level 3, 2 MORE at level 7, and 2 MORE at level 11 for a total of 6 at level 11. But you have to put down each one everytime you would add a choice.
Well kind of, I don't know if I ever plan to publish this class as it is heavily inspired by Dishonored, but right now I manually just put in that it has 6 uses which is the particular character's proficiency bonus plus his wisdom modifier. I'll have to update it whenever he raises his modifier or proficiency bonus. Basically as it is only he can use this class.
