Campaigns provide a framework for grouping characters together. However, there is a lot of functionality that would make them much more useful which should also be easy to implement.
Shared notes is one example.
There is a note the DM can edit listing a Description, public and private notes. This is useful for a basic campaign description but unless the DM has the time to maintain lists of shared items, events happening in the campaign and lots of other elements - this work should usually fall to the players to maintain.
A basic shared note that could be edited by any members of the campaign would help with this. Ideally, the implementation would support multiple notes and/or handouts so that the campaign resources could be kept in one place. Players could maintain their list of shared items or keep a log of events they consider important. This could be maintained by any one or several of the players in the campaign and could be edited by the DM if necessary.
It could even be implemented by having a shared note page on the character sheet itself and have campaign members automatically share these notes.
I am sure this has been suggested previously but my search attempt failed to come up with other good threads (there was one result from 2018 ...?)
I love this idea. We usually have one person who is nice enough to take notes but there are times he cannot make the game. To have his notes available to us and then to be able to update so he can see what happened would be great.
