Regarding the Encounter system - while saving progress of the Combat Tracker is great, it currently happens far too infrequently. If a DM is running an encounter and has a random crash of any variety, they're likely to lose 20 minutes or more of activity. I believe one or both of the following measures should be implemented.
Change the automatic save to take a snapshot after any change is made to round/turn progress or when any creature's HP is changed.
Add a manual Save Now button to the Combat Tracker so that a DM can make sure changes are recorded (less optimal, but also less system resource intensive).
Without this, I am reluctant to rely on the Combat Tracker as my primary method of running encounters.
I was just playing using the encounter, and I had four or five manual entries I had to add during the course of the battle.
I accidentally hit the back button on my mouse, and when I pressed forward, it was the same battle, but NOT the same state (despite having auto saved numerous times). It said the last save was "an hour ago", and had a ton of my dead enemies back at full health, and not a single one of my manually added enemies.
We had to call a 10 minute break while I scrolled back up through the combat log and tried to get the fight looking the way it was.
I can't believe that auto save is the only option (and in my case it feels like it didn't even work).

A manual save button is sorely needed.

There used to be a save button with the auto-saving when it was in Alpha. I don't know why they removed it??
My guess (and it is just a guess) is that any scale back is about system resources required to be able to regularly capture and store save states.
Its been (2) years and still no Manuel Save. Really Wizards
