Looking really good so far! I have a suggestion regarding magic items that contain spells (example: Staff of the Woodlands). I see where you have bolded the spell name so that it stands out from the text and that makes it easier to see. It would be very helpful to be able to hover over the spells name and get a pop-up window containing the spell's information. If not that, making the spell's name a direct link to the spell's page would still be helpful.
In addition, for magic items that are based on some sort of non-magical item, such as weapons or armor, it would be great if the base stats for that item were included in the magic item description so I can easily make item cards for players from just that page.

Not a bad idea. I'm concerned about magical weapons and armor clogging up the listings, though, given the first page of magic armor only has three unique items repeated about 20 times. Maybe work both fixes in, somehow?
Say, a single "adamantine armor" tab, which then says "this armor can be splint and plate and blah blah blah", with each linking to or expanding into the base stats for the armor?

Yeah, it would be great if there were "variations" of an item, with a dropdown where you could select the type. This would work for both magic items like you mentioned, but also for base items with +1/+2/+3 stats or similar.
I really like the idea of creating item cards directly from the item page. A simple "print item card" button would be great. Even better - a "send to character" button that links the item to a player's DND Beyond character sheet would be much appreciated.

Hyperlinks, tool tips, and hovering info would be a great addition! Hovering info less so for mobile users, but it'd be excellent for desktop use!

I second this idea. Having at least a link to the spell would be a nice connectivity idea. Make for quicker use in game too when needed.
