I have been trying to find reasonable ways to make lycanthropes for characters in campaigns. The problem is, that there is no current option through the system that doesnt require the combination of creating magical items, or custom races to fit the parameters given by the book. it currently involves taking the characters current abilities in their race. and then making a custom race for them to use....and then i wonder what happens if they have the curse removed. any possible way or is there a forum that gives optimal options for creating lycanthropes using the settings that are given in the monster manual.
Could you create two versions of the character one while in beast form and one when not use a homebrew race to create the beast form. Even if that works I also would love to see shape changing work where you could switch between shifted modes.
I did make the feat option. It works well. I'll probably do this in combination with a magic ring item to show when theybare transformed since I think basically if they arent wearing heavy armor, they get an AC bonus.

It is possible to make the lycanthropy options with a single homebrew feat, which you can give for free to any character.
