Is it just me or is the homebrew item creation pointless? I use D&D Beyond because it makes it easier on the DM and players to manage pretty much everything. With the make your own magic weapon from scratch it still makes me choose a base weapon. I'm not actually making anything. I cant alter any of its stats or dice the way I want. If it doesn't actually do anything then why is it even there? I might as well just go back to paper and pencil because at that point it would be easier on my players and myself. I'm not saying this to bash on anyone I would just like some more freedom and versatility in the tools and I don't know where else to go to express it.
