I'll freely admit there may be a way to do these things I'm not aware of, but so far I've run into a few issues while trying to create items so that my players don't manually have to remember bonus modifiers and triggers.
Deeper triggers/modifiers for homebrewed items. I'm trying to create a very specific homebrew item that would be able to change the wearer spellcasting modifier from intelligence to strength, but only for specific spell types (either school, by damage type, or specific spells). I know this is an edged case, but I would love a more advanced way of setting up a series of overrides and triggers for specific types of abilities.
Ability/Spells to set triggers for damage self. In our campaign we have a lot of risk vs reward items and custom spells, it would nice to have the ability to remind players to take damage or commit to a saving throw when they cast a certain spell.
