I was just finishing up one of our sessions tonight, and I had a few different stat blocks open after the final combat when I got to discussing with my players. I know that it would probably take up some significant time, and there are a lot of other really cool features on the way for DnDB, but I think it would be a huge benefit to have loot tables added to monster sheets for on the fly investigation checks.
Maybe the Gnolls have a bone dagger carved from something they’ve recently killed, or the Mind Flayer has a small doll that it took as a souvenir from the child that was its last meal. Just randomized tables of things these creatures could have. It would be especially beneficial when you go to use a brand new monster that you’ve never used before or know nothing about. For example, I just got a Shadow Dancer in one of the new DnD miniature blind boxes. I’ve never looked at their stat block or read anything about them, so having a brief loot chart of potential examples would be pretty helpful to get an understanding of what sort of things the creature is interested in collecting for itself. If at all.
It was just a thought. I hope that there are others that share this same thought process as me - enough to get this on the radar for a distant back-burner addition. But first, the integrated character sheets and encounter tracker are a must. :)
Thank you for reading!
Enjoy the rest of your night/day - wherever you’re from!

It sounds really neat, but it isn't something in official content. DDB doesn't create tools that make up tables, rules, lore, etc.
