Can somebody explain to me what I did wrong? I was running a game recently and the players attempted for the first time to use the Short Rest option, and no matter what checkboxes they used, there was no change to HP after the fact (and yes, they were damaged). What am I missing?
D&D Beyond does not have an integrated roller. You check off what hit dice you use, as only a certain number of them are restored on a long rest, and roll your dice as normal. Complete the short rest to confirm the changes (before the 3 second count down) and restore any Short Rest-based features. Then add the amount healed as if healed by any other effect.

Thank you for that explanation! I think the countdown confused me. It counted down to zero and I thought it had done something.
