Hi! I'm looking at running a new campaign with an adventure I haven't played before. Looking through the marketplace, I wish there were more details visible while browsing through that page, particularly if I could filter by some criteria. People who have bought the material should be allowed to review it with things like:
How fun was it to DM this adventure? (1 - 5 rating)
How fun was this campaign for your players? (1 - 5 rating)
How many hours did it take your party to get through this adventure?
How many players did you have? Was that too few, just right or too many?
Spectrums:
Open-world or railroaded?
Original or tropes?
Then in the marketplace, I should be able to filter my search results. What levels are they for? Filter on the ratings above. That sort of thing. I should be able to make a more educated purchasing decision right from the Marketplace vs. Googling for 10 minutes per book to get this sort of information.
You can find reviews for adventures all over youtube and elsewhere, but these aren't like amazon products. A review would have of questionable utility because "how fun was it for the players" could be as much affected by the quality of the DM, the quality of the players, the length of sessions, or the style of play of the group as the adventure itself.
How long is equally conditional and likely meaningless; a party that roleplays less and doesn't explore would take less time than one that engages in a lot of downtime activity.
I hear that - of course it's subjective. But think for a minute about the process of trying to pick a book to buy... If I'm looking at 2, and one of the books says, "90% of DMs reported that their players had fun" and the other says, "22% of DMs reported that their players had fun", that's really valuable information. Similarly, regarding time ranges, the Marketplace could say, "80% of games finish in a time between 7 and 12 hours" that's a lot better information than I have now.
Amazon and YouTube reviews are fine, but having some DM-created metrics would be so good! As I'm writing this, it's Cyber Monday. Books are less expensive. I'm at work. I don't have 4 hours to watch YouTube reviews and dig through Amazon to find what I'm looking for. I'd much rather come to the Marketplace, find the adventure that DMs say is the most fun for their players, and buy it.

I do think the level range of an adventure should be a little more visible.
The rest of the review stuff sounds more like what I would find on a review website than a marketplace.
I agree that level ranges should be presented in a clearer way. Maybe a small flag over one cover of the cover so at a glance you can see.

I understand and agree with your idea, I just font think it is practical for DDB to be the ones to collect those reviews (maybe DMs guild).
