I play with some very new players. I've helped them create their characters on dndbeyond and use that to track our campaign. The most frequent question I get from them (and every new player) when asking for a skill check/attack roll/ability check/saving through is, "What die to I roll?"
Currently for any other die it says '#d#+4' but all the d20 rolls just say '+3'. When new players look their at skills it doesn't tell them what to do it implies it by default. I know this is simple but it still trips up people that are learning. They have enough to think about and I'd like to make it clearer for them.
Would you consider adding a UI option aimed at beginners that spells out some of these common confusions. Specifically this option would you add the text 'd20' in front of all the skills/saving throws/attack modifiers. It now would read 'Acrobatics d20+3' or 'Longsword d20+4'
I really feel that this would help new people out.
