After going through the books and doing a session Zero with my veteran group below are the things that are needed in DNDBeyond to make improvements:
1.With ship to ship combat - Vehicle Sheets & Vehicles in encounter builder are needed. Sheets will help the captain keep track of vital information easier. With Ship combat being more prevalent in SJ we need vehicles added to encounter builder.
2. Lack of rules for DMs to extend the campaign pass the premade adventures. 2e had an extensive book rules and tables that help DMs design their own Crystal Spheres/Wildspaces.
3. Better Explanation of Wildspaces for players. Book briefly touches on this but for example this was a great opportunity to explain how the astral sea links FR, Eberron, Dragon Lance, Wildemount, Dark Suns (Doomspace) etc.
4. Dead Gods - Could used a bit more detail and/or tables for DMs to better design a random encounter.
5. Random Encounters - previous editions of SJ were more in-depth feels like 5e writers just shrugged it off last minute.
6. Ship Upgrades - No explanation at all compared to the Vast details in GoS for water based ships.
Overall I was deeply excited when SJ was announced was one of my favorite 2e settings, but I feel this generation of writers dropped the ball shamed the Legacy established years ago. I would rate SJ 5e - 4/10
The only way to save SJ is a need for another book soon that Expands in more detail the things a DM needs to properly run an Astral Sea campaign beyond level 10.

Leaving OGL 1.0(a) untouched and making SRD 5.1 CC-BY-4.0 is a great first step. The next is a promise to do the same for future editions. Here's a discussion thread on that.

Then where do we give feedback on the game or WotC publications?
Once it's no longer Unearthed Arcana, you can't. That's what UA is for. D&D isn't a digital game, despite DDB's existence. Books are printed and that's it.

DDB is great, but it could be better. Here are some things I think could improve DDB

There's not a *great* place to do that anywhere, but the best current place is probably in General Discussion.
