I've noticed that while there is a subclass creator, there isn't a class creator. After investigating a little, the reason seems to be the sheer complexity a new class can bring to the figurative table in terms of how the site's code would need to handle it. A possible temporary solution that's been rolling around in head is to have an open beta version of a class creator with all the functionality of the subclass creator except for needing to be tied to another class, plus the allowance to have features at any combination of levels, options that let features appear at multiple levels and/or add columns (including the various casting progressions) to the class table to show progression, and the ability to define a unique spell list for the class. Classes that that use whole new sub-systems (like a conversion of the material in Magic of Incarnum from 3.5 to 5th) would just need to settle with approximating said sub-systems' quirks within the basics of spellcasting, pact magic and normal feature allotment.
The DDB Dev team is awesome-- They said no to base class homebrew for a long time, but the lead developer decided to add it to the list after seeing how passionate the community was about it. It's still a long way out, I'm sure, but at least we can look forward to it in the future!
There any way to create an entirely new base class, or to take something already existing and modify the base classes? Kind of annoying it only looks as though you can only create sub-classes.
Example, if I wanted to add a new Fighter type class, but implement an arcane point system like Ki points/sorcery points for spell casting. There's no way to piggy back off that existing system in any way.

Homebrew classes are planned, though not in development yet.
Thank you for letting me know; I honestly wasn't excepting to get any responses.
