I make an adjustment to a homebrew feat that is already on a character. The updates are not reflected on the character sheet. I wait. I refresh the character sheet. I go to another page, and return. I do these things for over an hour. It still has not updated.
I go to a test character, and add the feat. The updates are reflected, there. Still nothing on the primary character.
This is not a new problem. But it isn't always this bad. These slow server issues and HB update lag are infuriating. When fiddling with HB, it can take forever just to see if something is updated and working as intended. Please fix this. TY.
That may be a dirty fix, for now. Thanks. It makes me uncomfortable, in case messing with levels could cause something weird. What if the character is 20th level? Either way, most users would not know this; and should not have to deal with this issue.
Removing a level and putting it back also does the refresh. Maybe removing the feat and re-adding too? But the level-adjust definitely does a "refresh".
I certainly don't disagree with you on it being an uncomfortable fix. Our campaign uses point buy, I suspect using level-adjustment to refresh could mess with die-roll leveling. It can help to have a test character to beat on if you're doing much in the way of homebrew.

If it worked on a test character, then bump the problematic character's level up by one and then down; it will "refresh" the character's features etc.
