So about a day or two ago I was trying to open one of my character sheets on my main stationary Pc only to get that pop up which states that their API check failed. At first I didn't think much of it and just waited a bit, only to then try again later and still it doesn't work. Now two days later still nothing. The weirdest part is it's only messing up for my stationary PC and not my phone or laptop. Any help would be great.
They have an out-of-control site cookie that continuously grows until it breaks API requests. You can use dev tools to manually clear it. This forum is useless though, the only support requests they respond to are for new products they are trying to sell.
For me, its Firefox. Chrome works fine; even Firefox Incognito works fine. Tried devtools w/ firefox and manually killing all cookies and local storage, still no joy.
COMPLETE OPPOSITE FOR ME. Firefox allows modifying and viewing while crashing 1/3 times. Chrome doesnt work at all. I've done every clear cache/cookie/etc trick ever suggested since 2020. Nothing.
I cannot view my characters sheets on chrome, but I can with Microsoft's browser. I don't understand how they expect people to pay for a monthly service that either doesn't work or sometimes works.
Same thing happening to me for a couple of weeks now. I've tried clearing cache, clearing cookies, deleting browser history. Still get a 500 error screen with the beholder, and a bunch of CORS errors in the dev console.
Chrome only, Edge seems to work fine

Tried your way and unfortunately it did nothing. It's been almost a week of this being an issue.
Im having the same issue as of tonight I'm getting a 5bf5874570b246ef915477f1ff93dac9 error code
While I can't speak for everyone else, that did fix my problem so thanks brectangle!
I tried clearing cookies from dev tools but I'm still getting the error code: 9c153747c7464d6b8b57c597647f55fb message.
does it make any difference if you try a different browser?

This is getting annoying. I can't see anything now...
It works at times that are not US peak time - but seems to struggle at those times.
Has only happened to me once. I live in Pacific time zone.
I had to clear all cookies and cache on my browser to fix it
