I added a level and a Fighting Style in the Character Builder, tried to access the Character Sheet (tab name Character App) and received the following error.
Whoops! We rolled a 1 on our API check. We're heading into town to visit the blacksmith for repairs. Try again after a Short Rest.

Shut down my browser (Chrome Version 110.0.5481.104 (Official Build) (64-bit)) completely, tried to access D&D Beyond Character Sheet again and same error.
EDIT: Problem self-corrected. I'm able to access D&D Beyond completely. Issue closed.

I didn't do anything special. I just tried to access the Character Sheet about every 5-8 minutes or so as I watched a YouTube video. It worked on my 3rd try.

Many people have been having the same issue on and off for the past few weeks now. I'm not sure if something changed or not in the backend but it seems to be happening at night probably due to the increase volume of players logged in.
I have been trying to log in to my character sheets for the last 48 hrs and have not been able to. Each time I select a sheet I get a different error code. Here are the last 4 tries:
I'm getting both annoyed and worried since I have a game on Monday and I need to fix this issue or else it'll be the 4th time we'd have to cancel DX UGH
I was having this issue consistently since Thursday evening (GMT). Clearing the cookies and the cache in chrome (first for dndbeyond through the console, then everything) didn't work. Running CCleaner did, but also cleared data for all sites, and lost character sheets i had saved locally in pathbuilder and left me a morning of signing back into everything. Would not recommend, but i have campaign this evening so if you're in a pinch...
The issue will likely be with the cookie; it was for my previous issues (repeats of this, and the one where character portraits/backgrounds don't load on the character list), but all support could advise was to try clearing cookies/cache and that the cookie is being worked on and they can only wait until it's updated. But they could publicly say that to save folk repeatedly coming to the forums to post about the same issue and feeling like they're being ignored.
Same problem. Using Chrome via mobile browser (android OS). Clearing cache\cookies for both the browser and the app made no change. Happens for all my characters.

I logged out of dndbeyond and cleared by browser cookies/cache. In the past it didn't work but this time it worked. Not sure why but worth a shot.
I haven't tried logging out first before clearing cache\cookies. Tried it and it worked. Not sure why that should matter. Still problematic that I have to log back into everything else just to fix this, but better than not working at all.
Clearing the cache/cookies seemed to work for me. I logged out, cleared the cookies/cache for dndbeyond, did a F5 refresh, and logged back in. Hopefully that works for some of you guys as well. The cookies were also taking up a ton of space for some reason, the total space being used for it was cut down by nearly 2/3s for just clearing dndbeyond.

Getting the same issue. What fixed it for you?

I'm still having the issue. I've been refreshing every few minutes for the past few hours and all I'm getting is:

Remember, kid. There's heroes and there's legends. Heroes get remembered, but Legends never die.
Same. Haven't been able to access any of my sheets for the past couple hours at least.
