I've been having great trouble lately with using payed content lately, i have all the tabs active for eberon and such but I can't add the sunforger
I've paid for fizbang, but can't add amethyst load stone
Is there s method of togeling on and of content that for the entire account and not for just the characters cause it doesn't really matter what the slider is sett to
How would you know if it's only the compendium version? Cause I'm having the same issue and I don't remember being offered a choice between two versions. I would never have knowingly paid for something I couldn't use in-game.
If purchased after April 30th then you got full version. Check if your entitlements are in sync here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/account/licenses - if they are not you will see a black button to click which will re-sync them. If they are in sync then when creating a character ensure the relevant content toggle is on. For example, if you got Explorer's Guide to Wildemount stuff, you need to enable Critical Role while if you got Eberron: Rising From the Last War you would need to enable Eberron content. Some things got reprinted in later books, for example some stuff in Xanathar's or Tasha's books may have originally been from the Ravnica book, so you need to enable the content it was first in (Ravnica, Theros and Strixhaven books are under Magic: The Gathering content toggle).

Thanks for your reply. I checked the links you posted and while there is nothing in my Order History (at all... which brings with it new concerns) the link to my licenses shows the book as being purchased. I'm assuming that it this was a compendium only purchase the column headed Compendium role would be marked or noted in some way, but it is as blank as all my other working modules. I also have all sources toggled in character creation, but I'm still unable to add Sunforger to my character sheet. Any other ideas why?

Is it possible that you got the Compendium-only versions of the books? If so, you wouldn't have access to the character builder content.

If purchased before April 30th then you could have purchased Compendium only by accident, you can check under Licenses (https://www.dndbeyond.com/account/licenses and scroll down) or Order History (https://www.dndbeyond.com/account/order-history) to see.
