Hmmm one of my players cannot log on my maps. I play with five other people and I think it might be his Chromebook. Has anyone else had issues with players getting "something went wrong" while using a Chromebook?
Please explain on a device without a scroll wheel such as a tablet or laptop with a touchpad how one "scrolls" without having to use the arrow keys. You literally are relying on equipment not present on tens of thousands of the devices used to access the feature but want to keep doubling down on the inaccurate "you can just scroll" statement.
I just purchased "Keys from the Golden Vault" and it is not showing up in my Maps selections. My "Curse of Strahd" adventure maps are there but not "Keys from the Golden Vault". I can't figure out what's going on. Any help would be appreciated.

I've passed along the feedback about the scrollbar. In the interim, the following info may help:
On tablet you can press and drag to scroll
On a laptop, you should be able to use the touchpad scroll wheel functionality (usually a two-finger drag vertically)

He may need to check to see if his version of Chrome is updated. I get that same message if I try to open Maps on an old tablet that cannot download the latest version of Chrome.
As mentioned by ppl above, are you using an updated version of google chrome? i found that was what i needed when i was getting this message on my old laptop
You should now see a visible scrollbar on map browsing, which should improve accessibility on laptops and other non-touch screen devices that don't have a scroll wheel:
For some reason, when my players join they have DM privileges and can add tokens and move around other players. From everything I've read this should not be happening, so is there a way to fix this?
I'm experimenting with this with the idea of running my players through Intro to Stormwreck Isle. I've got the ship and the Merrow Extortionist loaded, however, when I try to look at the Players/Companions Tokens, nothing comes up.
Are these meant to be a library of generic tokens, or do I have to load tokens for my players from somewhere? I've looked at the character sheets, and can't see any options there.

No, this is currently the expected behaviour. Both players and the DM can add, move, and delete tokens
Hi all, a quick question we've tested the Map feature today which is really a great benefit for our online only campaign.
However the Log on the Map doesn't show critical failures/successes. When using the log on the map theres no way to expand the calculation for the roll. This only works when using the log outside of the map. (Using Chrome and Opera GX)
It would be nice if the GM or the Players would have an option to show/highlight such rolls in the log.
Just started a campaign and got my friends to play. purchased the master tier so we can play with maps and they cant join the maps session! on their screen, says there is an error.
One option you have got to display a player based map - is to create a second account, and a character, add it to the campaign, and then you can use this to display the player based map.
Hey everybody. I'm fairly new to DnD and trying out the MAPS ALPHA as a DM. I'm wondering if there is a discussion on this forum about timescales for the roadmap. I've been using Roll20 but find MAPS a lot smoother but the one thing I would absolutely love is token management for managing health and pulling up stat blocks so we could actually use it as a quick guide as well as maps.
Happy rolling

Keys from the Golden Vault maps just showed up. Thanks!

I cannot connect to Maps. I keep getting this screen that says:
Application error: a server-side exception has occurred (see the server logs for more information).
Digest: 207709884
Haaalp!

Yep. I did that before posting. Then, all of a sudden between logging in and out, and multiple refreshes, it kicked on.
Now the fun begins!
Thanx!
Query. Is there any way to get the map to remain accessible to players without have it open in an active tab on a powered on computer.
It kind of makes Maps useless for PbP.

Problem solved - characters need to be added to the campaign before they show up in tokens.

Is there an easy fix for this that I'm missing?
