Will D&D Beyond ever add automatic dynamic lighting? It is such a pain to try and do the lighting on your own. If it already exists, how do you get it to work? Please help.

Maps has no such feature, nor is any feature currently on the roadmap

Establish boundaries. And if anyone crosses them, speak up. If they don’t listen, there’s always cloudkill …
Roll20 has some nice features, but to use DnDBeyond character sheets I have to use a Chrome extension and its just a lot more set-up. It would be really sweet if DnDBeyond would just get the dynamic lighting feature. It reads the character's placement and vision stats and only shows them what their character can see, and the field of vision moves with the character. As a DM in dndBeyond maps I get tired of placing and erasing the fog of war. A nice fearture, but the Roll20 dynamic lighting beats it by a mile. Foundry and other VTT's have it - and I would certainly pay more to have it.
Roll20 also has effects like fire, lightning, magical effects that can be added. I think it works well for pro DM's that run the same adventures over and over - it is just a lot of set-up to use only once.
Davyd - I know and I ma sad about it. It is an extremely useful feature, speeds gameplay, and makes it incredibly more impressive to play and DM. I have send them about 40 requests to add it - I hope if I keep asking they may listen.

I’ve given that exact feedback with every single stop of the process. It is so cool in Roll20 and would make the encounters much more enjoyable.
I struggle to use Roll20

No dynamic lighting is the only deal breaker for me atm. Add this and you will bring in so many more subscribers.
I'd recommend using the feedback link inside Maps itself for any feature requests. That way it will go directly to the Maps team.
