This just started with the latest release of Maps from the end of March. Previously, using Spectator view when it first launched and I used it (two weeks ago, 3/24/24), I was able to just use it on a second monitor facing my players, and I could have the Game Log showing on the Spectator screen (so my manual dice/paper players can see everyone else's stuff) but none of my DM rolls from Encounter Builder were showing on the Spectator version (only on my DM side of the Game Log on Maps).
Now, as of today (4/7/24), my players are seeing my internal rolls on the Spectator view, even after ensuring that my DM rolls were set to Self instead of Public. I expect that while this goes on, I will have to fall back again to having one of my players log into a separate browser and put that browser on the second monitor. I did try manually swapping between public and self rolls, and there was no change in behavior on the Spectator view.
Just checked, 4/19/2024 and this is still happening. Even tried resetting rolls to "Everyone" and then back to "Just me" and it's still doing it. If I use a map view from my spouse's account in a different browser, the "Just me" rolls do not show in the Game Log.
I just realized this as well - I don't really want to show my rolls in Spectator view when playing online with my friends. I'm just going to roll physically as of now... Did you put in a support ticket @LohreDeepmountain?
Skipped a couple weeks on noting that this issue still exists, but as of today (19 May 2024) it's still happening.
I've now opened a Bug Report ticket with WotC, so we'll see if that gets things anywhere, since it doesn't look like this has generated any traction with D&D Beyond folks yet.
There has to be easier and better ways to report bugs than to jump through 12 hoops of pages just to submit a support ticket...
Update: Ticket was generated and responded to by WotC and stated that they're passing it on to the dev team so that it is in their backlog. Hopefully will get resolved soon (although the patch notes haven't been getting updated in the last month and a half...).
Nevermind, I found it.. Start by clicking the double arrow on the right side of the screen. Then click the dropdown after "SEND TO" in the game log (highlighted).

Please, please fix this soon!
Weekly bump that this is still broken even after the 24 Apr 2024 update.
Starting to wonder if I need to put in a support ticket just to get some dev visibility on this..
*sigh*

@rofupi I have not yet; I was going to wait for the end of April patch notes and see if anything got fixed, and if not, then I'll submit a ticket.
Ah cool, yep let's see how it goes.

Oh nice! Well it's nice to see that they've acknowledged it at least.
I'm DMing on here and want to let my players see my rolls. How do I do that? TIA
Started playing 1e in the late 70s and stopped in the mid-80s. Started immersing myself into 5e in 2023
