I don't like abilities that lets you reroll damage dice, it stalls the combat and forces me to recalculate the damage. So I home brew it to always rolling 2 damage dice, and keeping the higher result. Slight boost in power I know but it's balanced in my games.
In most other platforms, you can just write 2d6kh1 to achieve this. But I can't seem to figure out how to do it here in DNDBeyond. I'm aware of the Custom Actions, but it doesn't seem to allow for discarding dice
I don't think there's an official way to do this on character sheets. As I don't think rollable notation works there. Some browser extensions allow you to add custom rolls to the sheets.
For homebrew monsters the kh1 formulas do work with dice notation. This allows it to work in the encounter builder and combat tracker.

eg.
It should also work with the auto formating/dice notation.
