While we know the free-cast is always a level 1 spell... I'm presuming you are referring to the burning a spell slot option: "You can also cast the spell using any spell slots you have." We have a related question about this. If you burn a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, do you interpret this to mean that you benefit from upcasting?
We read it that way, but the builder won't let you have (say) a Wizard with Magic Initiate Cleric (Healing Word) and use the option to burn (say) a 3rd level Wizard spell slot to cast an upcast Healing Word. But we're thinking it should. i.e., another building bug?
But the builder treats any spell slot (of any level) burned as casting a level 1 Healing Word. Which then got us thinking that maybe that was the intent. Meaning this avoids a Wizard taking that one feat and use all his spell slots to be a very good healer (via upcasting Healing Word), while also having access to all the Wizard spells. Which feels... strange and super powerful.
This made us wonder if the intention of the feat was to let you burn spell slots, but regardless of the level of the spell slots burned, the Healing Word would always be cast at level 1.
Magic Initiate Cleric Spell should be possible to be cast with Spell Slot, for Warlock does not
