hi with the realease of the 2024 free rules i noticed that all of my characters weapons armors etc changed to fit the 2024 rules which is not what was promised, i do not like 2024 nor do i want my character auto converted to 2024
+1 on this, if this is intended it should be noted in the change logs at the very least.
Personally, I would have liked the option to opt out of 2024 in the campaign or character options. At my age and family situation, mastering the new rule set is not an option at this time, I will cancel my master tier subscription and leave DNDB for another digital tool set provider if i cant use the books I have bought and used for the past 10 years. (dont give me mandatory reading assignment homework, I dont like it)
They actually specifically called out that all weapons would be updated like this because all it does is show the mastery property name. Since 2014 characters don't get weapon masteries anyway, it makes no difference to them. You can still use it as you did before, damage dice and other properties remain unchanged. Armor should be unchanged as well.

The only issue is that Lance has a downgrade from 2014 from a d12 to a d10, and if that is a big change if you wanted to keep the chunkier dice.
It also changed the elemental affinity for sorcerers. It added the elemental resistance for an hour and made the element selectable.
