No, it's not fixed. I also got a new email confirming my order. Then, 2.5 hours later, I got ANOTHER email saying my payment method failed, then another cancellation notice. I already sent an update to my original support ticket. (I also paid with PayPal, without issue originally.)
So, if you get a "Confirmation of order" email, you are NOT DONE.
I can confirm this, I recived a order confirmed email and a few hours later, order cancelled email. I am a PayPal user.
Cancelled again. Im so over this ongoing nonsense, with zero official statement. Im not looking forward to having to work with paypal to iron all this nonsense out and get my money back if they end up double charging me.
Also, looking at my statements, they charged me 67.47 originally, and then tried to charge 42.18 today. What am I even getting charged for with these random totals? a 49.99 book and 30 dollars worth of digital books = 79.99 + tax. How am I at 109.65 with nothing physical even shipping?
Add me to the “used PayPal, why is it so hard to give them my money” crowd. Preordered back in June when they first opened up, had my order canceled on the 10th of September. Opened a ticket that morning, which finally got a completely useless generic response yesterday. I saw with excitement this morning that my order was finally going to be reprocessed, only to discover that 12 hours later it was canceled again. 😫
So, uh, is posting this enough to “flag” my order? The lack of specific guidance on how to resolve this is “Beyond” frustrating.
Confirmation of order arrived in my inbox at 4:31 AM.
Payment Failed and Cancelation of items at 3:43 PM
I’m guessing they tried PayPal again, even though I have set up a credit card as my preferred payment option on the site.
This is beyond absurd at this point.
What doesn't make sense is that the second cancelation is only happening for certain people.
I got the reorder email early this morning, and then got an email from PayPal confirming the charge this evening. My orders page on Marketplace (and apparently the pages of several others that have commented here) now shows my new order as Preparing to ship.
It doesn't make any sense that this would be straightened out with PayPal for some, but not for others.
Honestly, if we are all right here again when the DMG and the MM release, I am *done* with WotC.

I was following along on my orders history until I needed to leave for plans set up before the failures of this week started happening. Last I saw, I was “In Process” for the PHB. Got home and saw the failed and canceled e-mails. And now I don’t know what to do? Open a new ticket on today’s attempt and failure? Go to the first ticket and try to update it (if it exists; I haven’t checked to see if it was deleted when they attempted the second order)?
The fact that the rest of the original order is also still “In Process” is a reminder of the disaster that is to come.
This is getting crazy. I can accept the initial debacle, and the quick response, but the system is not fixed. You need to TEST it out a few times before telling everyone its fixed. I have two cancelled orders and they STILL want us to put in another Ticket? What's next, CANCELLING OUR TICKETS?!?
I think the best solution when this all happened, would have been for them to credit all the affected their entire order amount(that they were charged), letting them keep the digital version. and asking them to reorder the book at normal price.
Well, it looks like we're all in the same boat, and it's sinking fast.
I pre-ordered the 2024 Digital and Physical Book bundle on June 21. The full amount was paid through PayPal on June 21. On September 10 I received an Email stating, "We were unable to process your payment for your D&D order #xxxxxxxxxxxx. As a result, your order has been canceled." Then it specifically said the item that could not be paid for and was canceled was the physical copy of The 2024 Players Handbook. This is ridiculous, since the book is part of the bundle and the bundle was already paid for.
I immediately contacted WotC support and opened a ticket. Their response was an email stating the would try to put the order through again and recharge my account. I responded back for them not to attempt to charge me again as the bundle was paid for in June. I included the confirmation email from DnDBeyond for the order of the bundle and the transaction record from PayPal showing it was paid in full. On September 14, an unauthorized charge was placed through my PayPal account for $39.75 for The 2024 Players Handbook. This is what I just added to the trouble ticket:
"WotC has just placed an unauthorized charge to my account for $39.75 for The 2024 Players Handbook. The 2024 Digital & Physical Core Rulebook Bundle was pre-ordered and PAID FOR on June 21, 2024. That bundle included the physical copy of The 2024 Players Handbook. You have now compounded what may have been a simple clerical issue on your end by placing an unauthorized financial transaction.
To correct this issue, Wizards of the Coast/DnD Beyond needs to do the minimum of the following.
1. Ship The 2024 Players Handbook immediately, as it was paid for on June 21, 2024.
2. Issue an immediate refund of $39.75.
3. Fulfill the purchase agreement of June 21, 2024 by shipping the remaining items in a timely manner as they become available.
Do you agree to these steps?"
I hope this gets worked out soon. I won't be holding my breath, though. Good luck to everyone dealing with this mess.
Well, it looks like we're all in the same boat, and it's sinking fast.
One thing I'll note is you may want to go look at your original paypal payment.
I checked mine and when I originally ordered it did only charge for the digital bundle, even though I ordered the full physical bundle.
I was under the impression if fully charged when originally ordered as well, but my paypal says differently.
Mine was July 23rd I think
So, on the plus side the new charges may not actually be them charging you extra, just charging as intended (charge when shipped maybe?)
Still, it is frustrating because I want the full physical bundle.
Had the same "Confirmed, wait nope canceled again" nonsense.
Seriously I'm absolutely fine using a card or something other than paypal if they'll just give the same price and ship the thing. Though I wouldn't mind if they made it alt cover or something for the trouble lol.

Just got another order cancelled email. Super cool. Would love an actual fix for this.
9/14, 6:59AM Update: Epic adventures through the D&D multiverse await!
9/14, 7:22PM Update: lol, lmao
Also got another cancelation for the new order the placed to fix it :/
They recharged my paypal for the book today, and this time it went through. Book is preparing for shipping now.
Another attempt to charge me for money I've already paid, and the order was canceled...
I too got a second cancelation...had my hopes it was fixed but PayPal is providing to be a challenging adversary.

Edit: removed “you were right” that was supposed to be a response to a post that failed to get quoted.

Same here.

FWIW my initial ticket was still open, so I’ve updated it and repeated my plea to let me give them money. This should not be so hard.

Send in the PINKERTONS! They'll get our books!
