So yeah, what's this about? I got my digital and physical PHB no problem, then I get the DMG digital in my library, and an email stating my physical copy has been shipped, followed by another email stating that my DMG has been cancelled.
Same. Yesterday got an email that it was on its way, along with a tracking number. Today I get an email that its canceled due to a payment failure - even though I'm literally staring at the charge that hit my account.

Same thing happened to me. Received a tracking number email (tracking number shows the package in route) and then two emails saying they were unable to process my payment. Mind you the card is good, plenty of funds, doesn't expire for over a year... which is why they were able to charge the card successfully yesterday. Filed a ticket to try and get clarity, noted there is a huge disclaimer about experiencing a high volume of tickets. (Wonder what that could be about?)

Much that once was is lost. Objects in Mirror Image are closer than they appear. All the world's indeed a stage, and we are merely players, performers and portrayers...
Check that tracking number again. Mine is still on the way, even though they said the order was "canceled". I imagine what happened is that they accidentally double charged (since I paid for everything at once) and canceling the second charge triggered a cancelation notice. The only blip I see in this explanation is that the order number that was canceled is the same for the pre-order bundle I bought. When things calm down, I'll be double checking to see that my MM will be coming...
I think this issue, and attempts to mitigate it, are a bit all-over-the-place. For example, I've received "test" but no "oops". I wouldn't have recognized "test" or the existence of "oops" had I not seen mention of them in these forums. In fact, I wouldn't have found my order history without other customers pointing out the awkwardly implemented filter. I still don't know which forum article relating to this matter is even relevant. My best assessment of the situation is: *shrug emoji*
I suspect the support team might be overwhelmed by this, or perhaps they aren't being supported themselves. It's just unfortunate that the communication challenges have made the experience much worse than it actually is.
While I wish to have dragonmaster1965sm's good fortune... more likely I will give it until next week, dispute the charge to my account and cancel the remainder of the pre-ordered products. I agree with Samedi_of_Orleans on lessons learned.

So, DMG preorder was cancelled same way the PHB was.
not a good look.
How was this not remedied?
Same. I am beyond annoyed at this point.

Same, it's on the way, but cancelled, but I see two pending CC charges.
I mean, they're just a small ma-and-pa bookshop, not a $9 Billion multi-national company, gotta cut them slack... /s

Yep, same here.
Had the same happen with PHB and they claimed it wouldn't happen again with DMG.
Never pre-ordering from WotC ever again. It's not worth the headache.

Here we go again!
Did the email come from test@dndbeyond.com? Apparently these went out to everyone in error.
My order history shows the order as shipped and billed with no issue, despite getting these emails.
Yup. Just got the email saying we got that in error.
I got the “Oops” email too but my order history still says Cancelled, all while my credit card has a charge pending from WOC.
Alright I got the "Oops" email. Order says it has shipped, and tracking number says it'll be here a few days before official release day.
Still, probably gonna stick to only ordering physical stuff after it's out from now on.
Seems like it was all a mistake. Got my copy in the mail yesterday!
