I'm trying to claim the Hold Back the Dead adventure. I am currently stuck at the ''shipping'' page with a the note ''Products shipping outside the US, checkout on our partner site →'' event though this is a digital purchase.
How else can I clam this adventure? Previous free adventure were quite easy to claim...
I'm from Italy and I can't find any way to download the adventure :( It could be just me being dumb, I've never purchased anything from D&D Beyond before. I managed to purchase the adventure, I also received a confirmation email and my purchase is displayed in my Order History, still there's no Download button anywhere. From the order details, there's the green dot on "Delivered" but still I can't find any way to download the adventure.
You can find the adventure (and all books) under the Sources menu at the top of the site (or you can jump to it here). If you want to download an offline copy, you can do that with the D&D Beyond mobile app.
Hey, is there any way to get a straight download link? I do not feel comfortable providing any personal information to any US company right now (can you blame me?) and I already have an account with a linked email. Is that not enough to just add it to my account so I can download it??
1) Why the specific need for Credit Card information if the adventure is free ?
2) Why not a singular claim link like D&DBeyond used to do in the past ?
3) Why the marketplace keep showing books you already have on your account (When in the old marketplace used to only show the one's (books) you dint have in your account ready to be bought) ?
not sure if it's ok to piggy back on a similar problem but aside from promotional materials I haven't gotten the email notification after I claimed the "Hold Back the Dead" free module, the system notified me that I would be getting a confirmation e-mail, which I never got despite the module showing up on my account.
I'm in a similar situation, the app keeps asking me to input a valid shipping address, which I do, then it suggests I use the suggested "valid" shipping address instead (which is the same as mine). I chose the suggested address and then it just loops back and asks me to input a valid shipping address.
I don't think I've really got anything useful to say here beyond what I've already stated above, but if you want a response anyway, here goes: 😅
This item can only be obtained through the marketplace. Checkouts through the marketplace can only be completed by entering a valid address and payment method. We've passed along feedback that users would prefer not to enter those details in this scenario. Beyond that, I don't have any insight into the decisions that led to this change or what changes may happen in the future.
For YakiPine, I don't know why the confirmation email wasn't received, but if you can already access the adventure, I wouldn't worry about it. If you want to troubleshoot it further anyway, I'd suggest contacting customer support. Hopefully they can take a closer look at your account and figure out why. (I don't have that ability.)
For Meshon, I'd recommend first trying another browser or device. If that doesn't work, then I'd recommend contacting customer support.
I have NEVER been to any webstore that required entry of payment information when there was NO payment required.
Literally NO other gaming company website does that. Some of them may still require a name and address, but NO ONE asks for credit card info for a ZERO dollar purchase.
What the heck, WotC?! Very frustrating.
Thanks for the free adventure, even if the offer is sort of a fake-out.

pretty sure kobold press (to name one) done it exactly the same way for their advent Calendar back in December

Nope. I got all the items. All that was needed was an email.

maybe i am mistaken but honestly remember following a link that someone posted (pretty sure it went to kobold express), clicking on a calendar date to collect free product, then being sent to a payment page where it was asking for payment details...
If im wrong, apologies
EDIT: now im left scratching my head if user error on my end or if i clicked a dodgy link at the time...
I'm stuck on the Confirmation screen. Every time I click the Place Order button it loops me back to the Payment screen and gives me this error message: "The payment you submitted is not valid. Please re-enter payment information."
Which is wild because A.) it's the same card I ordered the Monster Manual with, and 2.) whatever card info I put in should be valid for a $0.00 transaction.

You can safely ignore the message about shipping. I'd recommend checking that the address you're using is complete and valid.

Weirdly enough, it work when I removed my saved information and input it back. Thanks! :)

Yeah, I get that. I also find crazy that I had to share my home address and even my phone number just to get a free D&D adventure...

Hey Mods, can we get a response on any of these?
I see they are active in the forum, but seem to not be in here...

I have the following problem. I use PayPal and after confirming the purchase it will not continue. Is it because there is no cost?
I am stuck after providing all the details at payment.
SAME!!!
Right now, I feel like I'm getting scammed. Payment for my 1 year subscription went through fine the other day.
Why do subscribers even need to claim this thing???? Some new policy?
Check us out on Twitch, YouTube and the DISCORD!
