There is another mistake in the maps. The upper floor maps incorrectly label the two rooms on the right as 18, when they should really be 10.
Another mistake is that in the entry for room 18, it incorrectly lists "The two veterans carry 20 gp each, and Kusphia carries a symbol of the cult worked in silver worth 40 gp." That should actually be in room 16, not 18.
Looks like these errors still aren't fixed on D&D Beyond, even though they have long since been fixed in the physical adventure as of the errata.
D&D Beyond staff, do you guys mind addressing this?
(EDIT: The misplacement of the veterans' and Kusphia's loot seems to be an error in the original physical adventure that's not mentioned in the errata. I don't know if it was ever fixed in the physical version.)
Please can you explain what you're hoping to see fixed?
This is an old thread requesting an update to the map of the Hunting Lodge.
All of the content and images for Hoard of the Dragon Queen have been fully updated since then and are from the Tyranny of Dragons publication and are the most recent versions released.
Unfortunately, the issue I mentioned here is an error that still wasn't addressed in the ToD reprint:

Hopefully WotC fixes that and the numerous other errors people have found in a new printing, and issue a new errata.
I also don't know where "Area 1" is as mentioned in the introduction to that section.
The portal stands between stone markers (see area 1).
There's no general map of the area for this to appear on, at least that I can find.
I am having the same issue. I have a general direction for where area 1 should be, but in case my party decides to stay put and observe, or something else, I need to know where/how far area 1 is to the lodge. The material says "next to", but there are literally no stones so I don't really know how I should approach this.

Well, in terms of the thread as a whole, it's not a bug on DDB's part; the physical Tyranny of Dragons book doesn't note the location either. That said, there is some missing text from the description of area 1 in DDB: https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/hotdq/hunting-lodge#1PortalStones
1. Portal Stones
The mossy stones are old and weathered; lichen covers most of their surfaces, but traces of white paint remain in a few of the grooves.
The magical gate to Castle Naerytar sits between a pair of moss-covered standing stones visible from all the front rooms of the lodge.
In the physical adventure, WotC has added introductory text before the boxed text for the area (bolded by me for emphasis):
1. Portal Stones
This location is not shown on the map.

Dark pine woods are all around on the slopes of a mountain valley; the air is cold and fresh. Two ancient stones stand to either side of you, and no more than a bowshot ahead along a path is a large house, with stone on the ground floor, timbers above. Within sight are more standing stones.
I am so glad you mentioned that part in bold. I read that section over and over and found no such notation about area 1 not being on the map.
As for your note on the stones' rough location, my initial take was "okay but a bowshot can have a very wide range of distance". Ultimately I ended up landing on the fact that it had to be at least 10 feet south of the map and so if my party does a dumb, I'm going to theater of the mind it. Still, I really appreciate your response because boy oh boy that was a rough day for me (starting with dropping my dice box and watching 300+ dice scatter ALL OVER my room). You've definitely helped me flesh out the approach a bit more.

Haha, that is quite a start to the day! Glad to help.

Room number 12 is not listed on the ground floor of the Hunting Lodge map.
It's supposed to be the room to the right of 13.
The errata thread has this marked as fixed, but it is not.

I found another mistake. On the map of Parnast, one of the locations is marked as area 6, except there is no area 6 in the description.

Location 12 is fully indicated on the map, along with the other locations.

As far as the answer to your question goes, however, it does tell you roughly how far away the hunting lodge is from the portal in the "Through the Gate" section (emphasis mine): https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/hotdq/hunting-lodge#ThroughtheGate
